This course provides essential insights into supporting young children experiencing loss and life transitions. Participants will explore what grief is, how children ages 2–8 experience it, and strategies to create a safe, supportive environment. The course also addresses common grief myths, back-to-school challenges, and the role of literature in helping children cope.

Define grief, recognize various types of losses in children’s lives, and explain their impact on emotional and developmental well-being.
